Lodge Manager Annie’s Memory Walk raises over £1,600 for Alzheimer’s Society with help from the Churchill Foundation

Congratulations to Lodge Manager Annie Mortimore from River View Lodge in Shepperton, who has raised over £1,600 by taking on the Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk.

On 11th September Annie completed the 6.5k walk at Alexandra Gardens in Windsor, along with her husband Jon, their daughters Olivia, Honey, Tilly and Poppy, and their friend Izzy. One of our Owners from River View Lodge also joined them on the day and did half of the walk with them!

Having lost a loved one to Alzheimer’s and seen first-hand what a struggle it is to care for someone with the disease, Annie and her family wanted to raise awareness and help give something back to support the Alzheimer’s Society.

She did her fundraising through the Churchill Foundation and smashed her target by raising £730 through sponsorship. This was topped up to £827.43 through Gift Aid, and then match-funded by the Foundation, bringing the overall total to £1,654.86.

This is a great example of how the Churchill Foundation can not only double your money but also help claim Gift Aid to boost your fundraising. If you’re taking on a sponsored challenge and you’d like to apply for match funding, contact Foundation Manager Nic on Nicola.Wallace-Walton@churchillfoundation.co.uk / 01425 888941.
