Churchill Retirement Living

Colleague Engagement

The Churchill Foundation is the charitable arm of  the Churchill Retirement Group, we aim to involve our colleagues in all aspects of fundraising and charitable activity as much as possible. We are always delighted by the high levels of colleague engagement from across the company, and we are committed to maintaining this and giving Churchill Group colleagues a voice when it comes to the charities we support.

Match funding

As part of our commitment to giving something back, we offer a match funding initiative for Churchill Group colleagues who fundraise through the Churchill Foundation. If a Colleague is taking part in their own fundraising event or challenge, the Foundation can match any amount raised up to £1,000.

No matter the event, whether it be Wing Walking, completing Tough Mudder, running a half marathon, or rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, if the chosen charity meets one of our three core areas, the Foundation is happy to give back.

So far through match funding, our colleagues have been able to fundraise thousands with a little help from the Foundation along the way.

Churchill team sleep rough to raise £20,000 for homeless charity

Chairman Spencer McCarthy joined over 50 colleagues to spend a night braving sub-zero temperatures to sleep outdoors and help raise over £2,000 for End Youth Homelessness.

The team embraced the challenge to spend a cold November night sleeping outdoors, to raise awareness and much-needed funds in support of homeless young people across the UK.

On a night when temperatures dipped below freezing, Spencer and his Colleagues made do with cardboard beds for the night, and woke up to face a normal working day the next morning.

Tough Mudder, in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust

"I took part in the London South Tough Mudder, raising a total of £1,151 for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. A childhood friend of mine has CF, and at the time of the event he was awaiting a double lung transplant. He has since undergone the surgery and is now 6 months post-transplant, doing brilliantly, and has been able to do simple things like ride a bike for the first time in years.

Charlie commits most of his time campaigning and raising awareness for not only CF but organ donation, so I wanted to give something back to help him!” – Jess White, Trainee Marketing Executive.
